My kids played with similar set of clay before. they main thing as an artist parent I look for. aside from their safety. it that they are engaged. that theres a a new or interesting spin. For them to each on to. Kids tend to get bored easily. So adding novelty is important.Like most kids, my kids love animals. and they love dinosaurs especially my son. This was a bit different from having cut out shapes. these where fossils they can hide in clay and then uncover. or make cool imprints. It was an interesting twist which made things fun for them.they learn the difference of additive and subtractive applications of clay. would have been interesting to see bone pieces they hide in clay of have half sticking out of the clay.Safe non toxic. the clay stayed soft. and didn't dry up. the set of a bit small but high quality. works best if they already have clay they can play with and can add the fossil pieces too. theres only enough clay to get started and test these things out.
