I received a complementary copy of this book in return for an honest review. At first, I thought the book might be a little too sophisticated for young children - and it may very well be to some degree - but the information is presented in such a colorful, fun format that it's hard to resist. I can see it best used in an elementary science classroom and will be recommending it to my teaching colleagues, who are always looking for new material. Oh, and I love, love the glossary in the back!! I see that that author also has two other books in this series - the Environment and Lakes, and I look forward to checking those out as well. Nicely done.
